The Saskatchewan goose hunting season starts September 1st and and we operate
through the 3rd week of October. We morning goose hunt, and afternoon duck hunt.
In our part of Saskatchewan it is not legal to hunt geese in the afternoon until October
15th. The geese are abundant, the limits generous and the action is fast and furious.
You can expect a mixed bag of Saskatchewan geese. During the season our goose
guides harvest multiple species of the Canada goose, White Fronted geese, Ross geese,
Snow geese (both lesser and greater), Blue phase Geese and Sandhill Cranes. Our
clients seem to enjoy the "mixed bag" opportunities. We also shoot an average of 10
banded geese per year. Every year is a little different. And environmental conditions
have an influence. We are the type of Saskatchewan goose outfitters that do whatever
we have to do for quality goose hunts. If we need to expand our scouting area, thats
what we do. We do not restrict ourself to a specified area. As licensed goose outfitters
we are zoned for a huge area. Our spotters have lived here their entire life. They
KNOW the surrounding area for miles and miles. When it is required, we feel it is
better to travel a little bit further for a quality goose hunt. We promise to do whatever
it takes to provide the best possible goose hunting in Saskatchewan, Canada!
We only employ the best spotters and goose hunting guides. Our goose guides have
over 75 years of combined goose hunting experience. The spotters find, locate and
monitor the movement of geese every morning and every evening. They identify
feeding patterns, routes of travel, which roosts are being used, and most importantly...
where "exactly" the geese are in the field. We then coordinate the Saskatchewan goose
hunts accordingly. The key to our success rests with the spotters. As professional goose
hunting outfitters you can expect to be goose hunting in a different location every day.
We provide our goose hunting guides a full arsenal of equipment for any situation. The
goose hunting in Saskatchewan is truly superb. But it really depends on the spot we find
and how we set up. Not all waterfowl outfitters are created equal. At Goose Haven we
strive to be the best. To us, every detail matters. You can be assured you will be in the
right place with the right strategy and the right spread. We take the best Saskatchewan
goose hunting and bring it to your gun barrel. "Shoot'em in the Lips"!
The goose hunting in Saskatchewan, Canada is usually in fields. Our goose hunting
guides have a wealth of experience in Saskatchewan goose hunting. They can adapt to
any goose hunting situation. The goose guides will determine a strategy based on wind
direction, terrain, where the geese were coming from and where the geese actually are
in the field. Your goose hunting guide will put you on the "X". We use layout blinds,
outfitter series bail blinds, and natural willow blinds. The equipment includes a full array
of high quality goose hunting decoys, enclosed trailers and Chevy 4x4 Suburbans for
transportation. We use full body bigfoots, full body motion decoys, magnum shells, flags,
silhouettes and flapper decoys. As one of the best Saskatchewan goose hunting outfitters
we have the knowledge and experience to achieve success. We are fortunate to have an
abundance of geese in such a perfect location.
